Many drivers today may not remember what it was like to have to manually roll up a car window.
Which means having the luxury of a button to power your car windows automatically probably does not seem like a luxury anymore, but it sure is a necessity and having them work correctly is an important upkeep to your vehicle.
But what if they are triggering days when powered windows weren't a thing and not acting right? I got you covered!
6 Steps To Reset Power Windows
The last thing you want are windows that are stuck and potentially leading to a burglary or weather damage.
Here is what to do to reset your powered windows:
1. Start your vehicle enough to access your powered windows.
2. Ensure windows are fully closed (You might need to get creative with this one but you can probably use a hanger to get the latch... carefully.)
3. Roll the window down and hold the button for 5 seconds.
4. Quickly roll the window back up and hold the button for another 5 seconds.
5. Release the window button.
6. Test the automatic powered windows to see if it worked!
The trickiest part might be number two if your windows won't power up and you may want to leave it in the hands of a professional for service to prevent any damages.
However, if you can get your windows up and need a reset to your powered car windows, this should do the trick!
