When you get a new vehicle or switching vehicles, you must always register your vehicle at the DMV.
When doing so, you will need to provide/do the following:
1. Provide identification.
2. Fill out an MV-82 form, also known as a vehicle registration/title application.
3. Proof of car ownership.
4. Show that you have car insurance.
5. You will need to pay the title fee, license plate fee and any tax.
The process should not take long and is pretty affordable too, just make sure that you register your vehicle soon after you get a car.
